If you've never tried to set-up a site before, here are a few of the things that you need to get on top of. The truth is, unless you're a seasoned expert you are unlikely to be able to create a site that looks and feels professional, and that has true earning potential. Here are a few things that you will need to master (and each of these can take weeks of learning plus frustrating trial & error)

You'll need to understand how hosting works and how to hook up your website domain with your hosts DNS servers.

You'll need to understand how to work Cpanel, and set-up a site infrastructure for the site type you wish.

A thorough knowledge and experience of FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is needed, as well as understanding how to set permissions for different file types and folders. Get this wrong and you could be inviting hackers to walk in and destroy your business.

You'll need to know how to use things like fantasticos and wordpress. Depending on the type of site you may also require knowledge of HTML and a proper professional editor like Frontpage (costing upwards of $200)
